The Insurance for inbound students to Denmark, meeting all Rotary International requirements

Insurance 2023 for students coming to Denmark on Long Term exchange.

It is mandatory for all exchange students coming to Denmark to have insurance.

Rotary Denmark has arranged for insurance which supplements the national Danish Health Care program. This makes it less expensive than purchasing insurance in the student’s home country.

This insurance covers travel insurance from the day of departure to the day of return and Health Care for one year.

The Europæiske ERV insurance fully complies with Rotary International requirements (RCOP 41.070.12).

Students from the United States and Canada are expected to bring their own insurance but are welcome to purchase the Danish.

Students from other countries are expected to buy this Danish insurance.

The insurance is ordered by Rotary Denmark Youth Exchange and sent to the student’s email address. The student receives an Insurance policy and a receipt. This means that Rotary has paid initially. You can download a card for print at the link below. On Introcamp you will get a plastic card to carry with you.

When the student arrives in Denmark he/she has to pay the cost of the insurance which will be invoiced to a student with a copy to the club counsellor. The student can bring cash or arrange other means of payment with the club counsellor. The amount of 4.600 DKK (January 2024) must be paid in DKK, so please allow for exchange fees if you bring other currency or pay by wire.

Family to Family

Should be covered by your own insurance, else additional insurance can be bought. 

Camp

Should be covered by you own traweller insurance, some camps have additional insurance, it will then be stated at the camp invitation
